Heather Smith is an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist who is passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, and relational issues. Heather also sees individuals seeking to improve their relationship with themselves and the world around them, as well as children, couples, partnerships and families.
Heather was proudly born and raised in beautiful Northern California. She completed her undergraduate studies in 2011 at Simpson University and later graduated from National University with her Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2020. Heather has served the Redding community through various youth programs and has earned the majority of her clinical hours through the Wellness Center at Simpson University working with young adults.
Heather prioritizes building trust and creating a safe place for her clients in which they can work together to address points of pain. She believes that if we are courageous enough to embark on the journey of our suffering we can lead ourselves to an even greater awakening.
Heather spends the majority of her free time in nature. She enjoys hiking, biking, paddleboarding, camping, and lounging in the sun. Heather is also a lover of food, books, board games, travel, deep conversation, and cuddles with furry friends. She is passionate about the collective and holistic health of humanity and believes strongly that we are better together.
